Scholarships for Career Advisers

Career educationEducation Services Australia manages the Scholarships for Career Advisers program on behalf of Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).

The program provides an opportunity for career practitioners in schools, TAFEs and universities to enhance their skills in supporting young people to make the transition from school to work or further study.

  • The study scholarship provides up to $5,000 to assist career advisers to participate in post-graduate level studies to upgrade their qualifications.
  • The industry placement scholarship provides up to $10,000 to assist career advisers to participate in short-term industry placements to enrich their knowledge of workplaces, occupations and industries.

There are a small number of scholarships available for career advisers who are employed by otherorganisations such as Career Information Centres that providecareer advice to young people or assist them with their transitions.

Applications for the 2012 study scholarships and industry placements are now open.
